I'd like to talk about¹ Zhang Ruoyun, a well-known Chinese actor who has become increasingly popular in recent years. I first noticed him in² the historical drama Joy of Life, where he played the leading role. Since then, I've watched several of his interviews and dramas, and I’ve come to appreciate him not only as an actor but also as a person. In my view, he seems³ intelligent, calm, and down-to-earth. Unlike some celebrities who⁴ carefully maintain a glamorous image, he often speaks in a relaxed and honest way. He has a good sense of humour, but he also appears thoughtful when discussing his work, reading, or family life. I particularly like the fact that he seems focused on improving his acting rather than simply chasing fame. Normally, I see him on streaming platforms when I watch TV dramas, or in short video clips on social media. Sometimes, his interviews appear on my feed, and I tend to watch them because he expresses his ideas clearly and naturally. I think he is popular for several reasons⁵. First, he is genuinely talented and can make different characters believable. Second, many people find his personality relatable because he does not come across as⁶ distant or artificial. Finally, he has built a positive public image over time through consistent work and a fairly private, stable personal life. For me, his popularity is well deserved because it is based on both professional ability and personal charm.
