I’d like to talk about an occasion when I lost my wallet. This incident happened about a year ago when I was commuting to work by bus. I remember it was a busy Monday morning, and the bus was quite crowded. As usual, I was listening to music with my headphones on, somewhat distracted as I was thinking about the tasks ahead. When I arrived at the office and reached for my wallet to pay for breakfast at a nearby café, I realized it was missing. I immediately felt a wave of panic and retraced my steps mentally. I remembered having it when I left the house, so the only conclusion was that I must have dropped it on the bus. In a bid to retrieve it, I quickly contacted the bus service's lost and found department and provided all the necessary details about the bus route and time. I also posted about the lost wallet on a local social media group hoping someone might have found it. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, the wallet was never returned. Losing the wallet left me feeling anxious and frustrated, not only because of the cash and cards but also due to some sentimental items it contained, like a photo of my family. However, this experience taught me to be more vigilant and careful with my belongings.
